Early Childhood

At St. James, we believe that all great minds don't think alike. Our teachers recognize that all children learn differently. Each child is valued for their individual strengths and interests and a key element to our program is developing independence.

Our Early Childhood Program uses a Montessori-inspired approach. Mixed-age groups allow children to work at their own developmental level while also providing opportunities to explore more advanced works. Older students in each program help younger ones develop early leadership skills. Most important is the team of teachers who provide a warm, caring, and loving environment.

Preschool (2 and 3-Year-Olds)
Our Montessori-inspired Preschool Program focuses on building independence through play-based, intentional activities. The learning environment cultivates healthy socialization while laying the groundwork for those skills and behaviors needed to be successful thinkers and citizens.

3 to 5 day a week options
Half or Full Day
After School Program till 5:30pm

Junior Kindergarten (4 and 5 Year Olds)
Our Montessori-inspired Junior Kindergarten is perfect for children who need more academics but are not quite ready for the more academic tempo of our kindergarten program. While play-based, children being working in reading groups, math groups, and handwriting is introduced. This is all done in a way that is both fun and engaging for the children.

4 or 5 day a week options
