Christmas Fair 2012

St. James Annual Christmas Fair

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 17

10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

We need a great deal of support from our parent community and we know that as always you will pull through!  Here’s what you can do….

Click on the Headings Below for Detailed Flyer:

Posters - We need folks to put up posters at local stores, churches, schools — anywhere that Christmas Shoppers may be found!  Do you own a local business or know someone who does where you can pin up a flyer?  The posters are 11×17 inches.  Please call us if you want us to send some home or stop in to pick up one, two or more.

Raffle Tickets:We host a Cash Raffle annually and ask all our families to pitch-in.  Tickets have gone home already.  We  hope to receive  100% support to our annual Stop & Shop raffle. We’d like to see all the tickets sold. Again, all tickets (sold and unsold) must be returned by the date of the drawing.

Volunteer Help - If you have not already, you can sign up to help prepare for the event and also to work that day.  Many hands make for light work!  If you are willing, email us at info.sjschool@gmail.com

Classroom Themed Baskets – Each homeroom is assigned a theme and each student’s family asked to donate toward the basket. If you have unopened or unused items/Christmas gifts, etc…that would fit it with one of our themes, we will gladly accept your donation.  If you don’t have time to shop — send cash/check and we’ll do it for you!

A Bottle of Cheer – (PreK, Kindergarten, 1st & 2nd grades) - We request donations of bottles wine and other spirits that we will raffle off at the fair. These may not be brought in to school by students (adults only, please). Please send your donation by Thursday, November 15th.

Lottery Tickets (grades 4, 7 & 8) – We will ask each student in these grades to donate 1 scratch-off lotto or $1 to buy one for our lotto tree – a very popular item each year that we raffle off at the fair.  Please send your donation by Thursday, November 15th.

Toy Collection (grades K, 3, 5 & 6)-  We will ask students in these grades to donate a small gift or toy for for children’s booster booth, a favorite activity for our  youngsters. Please send your donation by Thursday, November 15th.

Baked Goods - We hope lots of folks would be willing to make  homemade treats to sell at our bakery booth. Baked goods are to be dropped off as per instructions on the flyer, but no later than Saturday morning 11/17.

Attic Treasures - Clean out your closets and pack-up the stuff you don’t need anymore, which still has some life in it (no clothes).  We will start collecting items on November 12th. These may be dropped at the green door entrance at t he stairway landing.
