Christmas Fair 2016

St. James Annual Christmas Fair

10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

CLICK HERE FOR AN APPLICATION TO BE A VENDOR AT THE FAIR  2016 (only a few spots left in the lower level).

Volunteer! – We need a great deal of support from our parent community and we know that as always you will pull through!  Here’s what you can do…

Take part in our Third Annual Jingle Jog, held right before the Christmas Fair. This family fun and healthy event starts the festivities. Greet our “special guest” who will arrive courtesy of the Stratford Fire Department.  To reserve a Jingle Jog T-shirt or register to participate, CLICK HERE.

Posters  We need folks to put up posters at local stores, churches, schools — anywhere that Christmas Shoppers may be found!  Do you own a local business or know someone who does where you can pin up a flyer?  The posters are 11×17 inches.  Please call us if you want us to send some home or stop in to pick up a poster in the office.

Decorate & Donate – Before the fair we would like to spruce up the building with lots of Christmas cheer. If you have unwanted decorations that add a bit of sparkle to our event, please send them in to the office. We also need help decorating and spreading the Holiday cheer throughout the building the week prior to the fair.

Volunteer Help – If you have not already, you can sign up to help prepare for the event and also to work that day.  Many hands make for light work!  If you are willing, email us at

Christmas Fair Classroom Theme Baskets Each homeroom is assigned a theme and each student’s family asked to donate toward the basket. If you have unopened or unused items/Christmas gifts, etc.…that would fit it with one of our themes, we will gladly accept your donation.  If you don’t have time to shop — send cash/check and we’ll do it for you!  Donations due on November 9th!

Christmas Cheer– We request donations of bottles wine and other spirits that we will raffle off at the fair. These may not be brought in to school by students (adults only, please). Please send your donation by Thursday, November 12th.

Lotto-Tree – We will ask each student to donate 1 scratch-off lotto or $1 to buy one for our lotto tree – a very popular item each year that we raffle off at the fair.  Please send your donation by Thursday, November 12th.

Childrens Booth /Toy Collection –  We will ask students in these grades to donate a small gift or toy for children’s booster booth, a favorite activity for our youngsters. Please send your donation by Thursday, November 12th.

Bake Sale Booth 2016-We hope lots of folks would be willing to make homemade treats to sell at our bakery booth. Baked goods are to be dropped off as per instructions on the flyer, but no later than Saturday morning, November 14th.

Attic Treasures 2016 – We need help the day of the fair as well as all your good junk! Spread the word to family and friends to clean out your closets and pack-up the stuff you don’t need anymore, which still has some life in it (no clothes).  We will start collecting items on November 14th. These may be dropped at the main entrance at the stairway landing off to the side.
