1. OPENING PRAYER
2. OFFICER REPORTS
a. President’s Report
- Helene McBride reported that the outpouring for Gaspar and his family has been overwhelming, thanks to SOOO many people. We raised over $16K prior to the bake sale and dress down. Please continue to pray for this dear family, they really have nothing and we are trying to help make sure they are able to try and get on their feet. MANY, MANY people want to help in whatever way they can. This is creating a bit of a whirlwind for his wife Magdalena and we are trying to be respectful of the terrifying position she is in so we do NOT want to overwhelm her with too much at once. We are going to take this family into our community and continue to help them become stable.
- Helene McBride reported that there have been issues with the T-Shirt Sale. There have been many issues with the youth sizes of the hooded sweatshirts. She has personally spoken with many parents and resolved most of these issues. We are looking to have another order put in and she is working with the supplier to assure that we have “true to size” fittings. We will keep you posted.
b. Vice President’s Report
- Barbara Keegan reported on the Pie Sale. The question was asked “how were the pies?” They were better than the last vendor. “Should we consider doing it again next year?” Possibly. Feedback: Cookie dough was mentioned as an easier more compact fundraiser. Butter braids were mentioned, maybe for Easter. Pies were sold at the same time as other schools, maybe do it at another time during the year. Last year we made $1,977, this year $2,274 so we did make more.
c. Treasurer’s Report
- Jill Burton reported that we have raised $25,851 against our annual fundraising goal. We have raised $1,654 towards technology with the Bottle and Can drives.
- Golf Tournament – $11,559 – new fundraiser this year
- Pie Sale – $2,274 vs. $1,977 last year
- Christmas Fair – $8,623 vs. $8,073 last year
- Christmas Concert – $803 vs. $ $3,713 last year (tickets were $5 vs. $25 last year)
- Book Fair – $2,590 vs. $2,413 last year
A question was asked regarding how the cash raffle results are so far? Mr. Gieryng replied that not a lot have been submitted so far, in the past the most come in during the last few days, this year it is expected to make $10,000 more than last year because it is mandatory in addition to the matching program.
