The Future Musican’s Instrumental Music Program is offered to St. James students who are in grades 4-8. Student are given individual or small group lessons one day each week and also participate in a band. First year students belong to the Cadet Band and more experienced players to t he Advanced band, which meets after school.Â
Band students who demonstrate promise and dedication are offered the opportinity to participate in Regional and State-wide band programs. At certain levels, students must audition. Many of our students have had the opportunity to play at the State House, at Lincoln Center and other great venues.

Current happenings for band …. did you know question: the Cadet and Advanced Bands at Saint James have more students than at any point in the last four years? Another did you know: The following students are preparing for the Future Musicians All-State Band Program- Emma Reed, Emily Goddard, Liam Hannon, Richard Despeignes.
